Advanced social play (dupr 3.75+)

This session is designed for advanced players and is best suited for those with a DUPR of 3.75+

Minimum DUPR 3.60 (60%+ reliability) – No Exceptions

If you see someone in the session with a lower DUPR its because the management has agreed to do so If you’re in the 3.3–3.9 range, we recommend our earlier Monday session (6:00–8:00 PM), which is better suited for upper-intermediate play.

Session Format

A social session with a competitive edge.

Winners stay on court (3 game max) If you win, you split up on the same court. If you lose, you step off the court. The 2 waiting players rotate on.

King-of-court (players' preference; if you win - you split onto the subsequent court, if you lose, you split onto the lower court. The 2 waiting players rotate on in order ; every player gets some rest too. )

Fast rotations to keep everyone playing consistently

Capacity: 18 players (16 on court, 2 rotating off) If numbers allow (8, 12, or 16 players), we switch to a King of the Court format with timed 10-minute matches.

Important Note on DUPR

We understand DUPR isn’t perfect. However, it’s currently the most effective way to maintain the standard of this session and ensure it remains genuinely advanced. We know some players may be underrated — if that’s you, we recommend joining our Intermediate DUPR tournaments to build your rating and move into this session. We appreciate your understanding as we work to keep the level consistent for all players.

WHAT MAKES AN ADVANCED PLAYER:

Knowledge of every pickleball rules (serving technicalities, kitchen momentum rules, lines that are in vs out etc)
Knowledge of advanced pickleball strategy (3rd shot, dinking, resets, when to drive)
The ability to constantly maintain a rally at a high level (including the ability to serve in almost every time)
Experience playing (50 times)
A DUPR rating over 3.75 (if your DUPR is below this, you will have to clearly by an equivalently skilled player)

Most importantly, it’s all about having a great time and sharing the courts with players of a similar ability! Players who are upper intermediate are advised join the 6-8pm intermediate session currently running every Thursday. Please note, if you join below the DUPR range mentioned a refund will not be processed, despite not being able to attend.
